Three Secrets of Business Networking That Pay Off

Make the most of Seattle Startup Week’s outstanding networking opportunities. Learn how to make business connections that pay off!

Startups success relies on much more than a great idea. Having the right network and fostering deep relationships can lead to new customers, partners and investors. But, networking is much more than simply showing up.

Learn three networking secrets that will transition you from cold-calling to having opportunities knock down your door. Lisa Ann Pinkerton will outline a tested, simple and systematic process for building an engaged network that pay off in the short- and long-term. You will discover:

  • Compelling introductions that leave listeners asking “how do you do that?”
  • Tricks for jumping in and out of conversations
  • Tips for reading body language
  • Knowing when it’s time to leave a conversation
  • Follow up that turns contacts into cash

From the newsroom to the boardroom, Lisa Ann Pinkerton has used her keen analytical skills to share cleantech stories with the world for nearly two decades. Most recently she was named a Women of Influence by the Silicon Valley Business Journal for 2017. She is Founder and President of Technica Communications, Founder and Chairwoman of Women In Cleantech & Sustainability, Co-Founder of the Global Cleantech Cluster Association, an international speaker and moderator and documentary filmmaker.

Lisa Ann started her career as a broadcast journalist for nearly a decade.
