Archis Gore

Polyverse Corp
Kirkland, WA

Archis Gore’s latest venture, Polyverse, began with the intent to "solve" the security problems and give operators an arsenal of options. To help operators "be secure", rather than point out problems.  Before Polyverse, Archis served time at Amazon on Search Experience, where he handled the on-call duty for Black Friday weekend three years in a row, and did a significant amount of reliability, scaling, prediction and stability work for the fleets. Among other contributions, he helped migrate a major tier-1 service to server-less architecture before it was a word, built the first iteration of the tier-1 Amazon's Choice service for Alexa, helped launch AmazonSmile, and patented a method to measure user-perceived latency of web pages, to ensure nobody could "game the system" by reporting convenient metrics.

Archis got his start in the tech world when he was selected among the top 20 student technologists across all of India, for the Code4Bill contest (held by Bill Gates), and worked on Live Mesh for Ray Ozzie where he was doing NoSQL and REST before they were popular concepts. In academia, his main claim to fame was the classifier for the Brain Computer Interface Competition in 2005 - as a single undergraduate student, he beat out doctoral research teams. His main areas of study were game theory, signal processing, data analysis and operations research.
