Emme Ribeiro Collins was born in Brazil and moved to Seattle in 1994. In 1999 her family opened Seattle’s first and longest standing Brazilian restaurant in the Univeristy District, Tempero do Brasil. Emme grew up in the restaurant industry, working at her family’s restaurants and various other restaurants around Seattle.
Emme attended Seattle Culinary Academy in 2012 and graduated as "Outstanding Culinarian” of her graduating class. In the summer of 2013, she underwent an extensive organic summer internship in Washington D.C at Restaurant Nora, America’s first certified organic restaurant. There, she worked under the tutelage of notable celebrity chef Nora
After graduating from SCA, she began her career as a private chef. Today, she works as chef to celebrity and elite clientele around Seattle and operates her own boutique catering company, Chef Emme Catering Co.
Emme has appeared on Food Network, FOX Network and various local news outlets. Her work has also been featured on the New York Times, Seattle Magazine, Seattle Weekly and more.
