Assistant Professor of Law and Faculty Director of the Entrepreneurial Law Clinic
Jennifer Fan is an Assistant Professor of Law and Faculty Director of the Entrepreneurial Law Clinic. She holds a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and an A.B. in Political Science from Stanford University (with distinction). Before joining the law school in 2010, she was a senior associate in the corporate securities group at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. Professor Fan was also the inaugural director of the Pro Bono Program of the John and Terry Levin Center for Public Service and Public Interest Law at Stanford Law School. Previously, she served as the Vice President and Director of Legal Affairs of the Asian Pacific Fund, a community foundation serving the Asian American community in the Bay Area. Professor Fan is admitted to practice in California, New York and Washington.

Fan’s research focuses on the intersection of law, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Her work has appeared in the Boston College Law Review, Lewis & Clark Law Review, and Clinical Law Review. Current works in progress examine corporate venture capital and women in venture capital.

She teaches the Entrepreneurial Law Clinic and Venture Capital Deals. Fan is in the UW Leadership Excellence Cohort for the 2017-2018 academic year.
