Shreya is an adventurer, a business owner, an intellectual property attorney, and, above all, a human. After working in the oil and gas industry as a chemical engineer in Houston, Texas, she went to law school at Tulane Law School.  Since law school, Shreya has worked in a start-up that crashed and burned, and founded two businesses with family members: one with her father and one with her husband.  In the business with her father, an oil and gas consulting business, Shreya helped develop, launch, and market a software providing innovative analytics to data collected. 

GeoBiz Technology (GBT) is a Texas-based oil and gas consulting company, owned by Shreya Biswas Ley and Partha Biswas, that pride themselves on a stubborn insistence on improved results.  They have developed proprietary software to process acoustic waveforms so that oil companies can better identify formation characteristics such as natural fractures and other petro physical properties. They also provide analyses that are both independent of vendor biases and customized for the field itself.
